All Things Prophesying Jesus Christ ~ Fulfilled!
The resurrected Jesus stood in the midst of His disciples and said, “Peace be to you.”
Even with those words, they were startled, frightened, and they thought they were seeing a ghost. (Luke 24:6-37)
Jesus then proved His physical resurrection by having them touch Him and they saw Him eat a piece of broiled fish. (Luke 24:39-43)
Then He said an astounding statement:
(NASB) Luke 24:44 “…‘These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”
Only God could and did and will fulfill all the prophecies concerning Messiah. When Jesus came the first time, born of a virgin in Bethlehem ~ fulfilled prophecy. All the prophecies concerning Jesus have been fulfilled with His first Advent, from where He would be born to the kind of death He would die and even specifics about His burial! Amazing word of God!
Consider what Jesus said, prophecies about Himself were given to Moses (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy). Prophecies of Messiah are throughout all the prophets. The Psalms, loaded with prophecy of Christ. Amazing word of God!
What did Jesus do that long ago day? He opened the minds of those disciples to understand what the Scriptures were telling about Himself. (Luke 24:45)
(NASB) Luke 24:46-47 “…‘Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day,
47 and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.”
And then He told them another amazing thing:
(NASB) Luke 24:48 “‘You are My witnesses of these things.”
All followers of Christ are witnesses of Jesus as their Savior. How are you witnessing to others as you walk through your day? Your actions, your attitude, your words, are they proclaiming: All Things Prophesying Jesus Christ ~ Fulfilled!
As you read the Law of Moses, all the prophets and the Psalms, note the prophecies of God’s Anointed One (Messiah, the Christ).
Genesis 3:15; Exodus 12:1-13; Leviticus (the feasts, the furniture in the tabernacle all point to Christ); Numbers (the experiences of God’s provision in the wilderness); Deuteronomy (the history of Israel as they left Egypt and ready to enter the Promised Land); all the prophets and the Psalms.
There are many prophecies not yet fulfilled…but no doubt about it, they will be because of the Amazing word of God!
Jesus is coming again as King over all kings! Hallelujah!
