Jesus went to the Mount of Olives to Pray
Jesus had a custom when He was in Jerusalem…He went to the Mount of Olives to pray.
(Luke 22:39)
Where is your Mount of Olives, the place you go to pray?
Go into a room, a place where you are freed from the TV, freed from phones, freed from I pads, Kindles, and notebooks of technology. Perhaps your Mount of Olives is in your garden or yard, perhaps you enjoy going to a park…somewhere you can “escape” the tyrannies of the urgent. Somewhere you can “get away” from the demands of the moment and spend it with the living God of the Holy Bible. His words to you are of utmost importance.
How high of a priority do you place on God and His words to you? Are God’s words a lamp to your feet and a light for your path? (Psalm 119:105)
Do you cry out “Give me understanding according to Your word.”?
(Psalm 119:169b)
Jesus went to the Mount of Olives as was His custom to pray. And His disciples followed Him.
Where is your Mount of Olives, the place you go to pray, following Jesus?
