As this devotional is being written, spring is on its way – birds are singing praises, the flowers of spring are beginning to make their showy appearance.
  The sun is shining with a soft whisper of spring.
  Jesus was giving His warnings during the spring of the year during the week of Passover to those who came to hear Him teach in the temple.

  Jesus was referring to the end times:
*when the heavens and the earth will be severely shaken.  (Luke 21:25-26)
*when Jesus will return to earth (His second advent) (Luke 21:27
*for the followers of Christ Jesus – our redemption is drawing near!  (Luke 21:28)
*Jesus said: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.”     (Luke 21:33)

  Then Jesus said:
(NASB) Luke 21:34-36 “Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap;
35 for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth.
36 ‘But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.’”

  “Be on guard,”  “keep on the alert,” for only the righteous will stand before the Son of Man without condemnation.

  Are you listening carefully to Jesus?  If so, follow Him for He is the Shepherd, Savior, Redeemer…there is none other in whom you can be saved.
(NASB) Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

Listen Carefully to Jesus
