For sure and for certain seasons come and they meld into the next season.  Winter passes and spring takes its place.  Spring is a season of renewal and new life.  Spring matures into summer days.

  Jesus told a parable as He stood in the precincts of the Jerusalem temple.
 (NASB) Luke 21:29-32 “…‘Behold the fig tree and all the trees;
30 as soon as they put forth leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that summer is now near.
31 ‘So you also, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.
32 ‘Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place.”

  As the prophecies of the end times come into being, followers of Christ know that the kingdom of God is near.
  Those who see these words of Jesus beginning to take place – they are “this generation.”
  Exciting for God’s people!  Not so much for those without faith in God and His Son.

  What does Jesus state unequivocally?
(NASB) Luke 21:33 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.”

  For the followers of Christ, His words give us confidence – He speaks only truth.  He is the Son of God, by Him and through Him all things were created and have their existence.
(NASB) Colossians 1:15-17 “He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things have been created through Him and for Him.
17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

  The words of Jesus will never become obsolete.  The heavens and the earth will disappear but God’s words?  Never!

  Faith in Christ Jesus is never misleading or misguided.  He was before the beginning of time, He is in this time with us and He will be in the future of eternity.

In whom have you chosen to place your faith?
