Jesus told the parable of money usage…see yesterday’s parable for the beginning of this story.

(NIV) Luke 19:14 “But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’”

Lesson
There are some people who really do not want Jesus to be their King, their Savior and Redeemer.  They reject Him by denying His authority over them.

Are you such a person?  Do you know of another who has rejected Jesus?

What did Jesus later say, at the end of this story?
(NIV) Luke 19:27 “‘But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them – bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”

Rejecting the Lord Jesus is to bring the judgment of King Jesus.  He is just and He is righteous in all of His ways.

Each person will be judged for their beliefs and words.  And make no mistake about it, Jesus is coming as King, who will judge with justice and righteousness.

Have you yielded to Jesus as your Savior and Redeemer?  If not, what is holding you back from faith in Him?
