Notice who the disciples rebuked:
(NASB) Luke 18:15 “And they were bringing even their babies to Him so that He would touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they began rebuking them.”

The disciples were rebuking the parents of babies/children.

  Notice what Jesus said:
(NASB) Luke 18:16 “But Jesus called for them, saying, ‘Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Jesus commended the parents for bringing their babies and children to Him.

Notice what illustration Jesus used to emphasize those who would enter heaven:
(NASB) Luke 18:17 “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”

If you are a follower of Christ, are you dependent on the living God as children are dependent on their parents?
If you are a follower of Christ, are you trusting God the Father for all your needs?

Jesus did not express this here but we can still apply it.
How thankful are you to this great God Who has put into place His plan of salvation through faith in His Son, Jesus?
We are to be as children, depending and trusting Him for all our needs.

Babies are important to Jesus and so are you!
