Jesus will come suddenly – are you ready?
Jesus will come unexpectedly – are you ready?

Jesus has warned us that when He comes we are to be ready for His righteous judgment.  Those who have rejected Jesus will be judged by Him.

(NASB) Luke 17:30-37 “It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
31 ‘On that day, the one who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house must not go down to take them out; and likewise the one who is in the field must not turn back.
32 ‘Remember Lot’s wife.
33 ‘Whoever seeks to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.
34 ‘I tell you, on that night there will be two in one bed; one will be taken and the other will be left.
35 ‘There will be two women grinding at the same place; one will be taken and the other will be left.
36 [‘Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other will be left.’]
37 And answering they said to Him, ‘Where, Lord?’  And He said to them, ‘Where the body is, there also the vultures will be gathered.’”

It is true that when Jesus comes it will be unexpected and sudden.  However we have been warned – repeatedly throughout Scripture.  Have you listened?  Have you changed your thinking about Jesus?  Have you consciously received Him as your Savior?  And has this decision changed the way you live?  Is Jesus really your Savior?  Is Jesus really your Master?  Are you in charge of your life or is Jesus?

Are you discerning the signs of these days?  One sign is insignificant just as one vulture is insignificant.  When many vultures gather you can know that there is indeed a dead animal.  So when the signs multiply…you can know that Jesus will return sooner rather than later.

How can we be ready for the return of Jesus?
(NIV) Romans 10:8-11 “…‘The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,’ that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.  11As the Scripture says, ‘Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.’”
