When persecution, oppression, imprisonment and/or death is experienced because of faith in God and in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, there is a longing for Jesus to come again which grips the followers of Christ.

Jesus warned His followers then and His words warn us now…
In spite of this longing for Jesus to come – His followers are not to believe nor run after the false hope of His appearing “there” or “here”.
Jesus did promise that He would be seen by all the world when He comes again.

(NASB) Luke 17:22-24 “And He said to His disciples, ‘The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
23 ‘They will say to you, ‘Look there! Look here!’  Do not go away, and do not run after them.
24 ‘For just like the lightning, when it flashes out of one part of the sky, shines to the other part of the sky, so will the Son of man be in His day.”

What we need to remember: Jesus was crucified, He was buried and on the third day He was resurrected – physically alive.
After He appeared to many at various times and in different localities for forty days, He ascended into heaven.  (Acts 1:1-8)
Therefore all, all will see Jesus when He comes again.

(NASB) Acts 1:9-11 “…He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
10 And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them.
11 They also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky?  This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”

For the followers of Christ believing that God’s words are true – we can rest our full weight (trust) on this fact – all will see Jesus when He comes again.

We have a living hope and that hope is the living Lord Jesus Christ…no other religion has such a ‘god’ to worship!  All will see Him when He comes!  Hallelujah!
