Jesus talked to His disciples and told a story to illustrate a point – shrewdness is done all the time in the world of men and women.

Christ’s followers should be shrewd with the truths of God.  (Luke 16:1-9)

Jesus went on to define honest and dishonest behavior.  Being faithful or being unrighteous.
Jesus explained how faithfulness or unrighteous behavior in the little things would impact how we would handle the big things in life.
(NASB) Luke 16:10 “He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.”

What was your responsibility yesterday?  Were you faithful to do that which you needed to do or were you unrighteous in your actions, your words, your motives?  Only you can answer that question…with honesty.

What about today?  What “little thing” do you need to be faithful in doing (even when no one is watching)?

  Jesus continued with a question:
(NASB) Luke 16:11 “Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of  unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you?”

What we do today, whether we are honest (faithful) or dishonest (unrighteous) in how we use the monies we have today (ours or somebody else’s) will show what we would do with the true riches of God.

What we do…matters!  How we do it…matters!

  Jesus said:
(NASB) Luke 16:12 “And if you have not been faithful in the use of that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?”

Are you being truthful and worthy of trust, are you being faithful in doing what God has called you to do, even when no one is watching?
Are you faithful in serving the living God and doing your job in the workplace, in your home, in your church, with faithfulness and due diligence?

It is your choice, it is your decision, if you are faithfully carrying out your responsibilities day by day.

Are you being faithful in the little things?
