The prayer of the week is based on Psalm 1:1-6

Your word, living God of the Bible, says blessed is the person who does not live according to the counsel of the wicked, or stand with sinners, or sit with scoffers!

Your word says that I am to delight in Your law O Lord, and to meditate on what it says… day and night.

Your word further says that I will be like a well watered tree, yielding fruit in season and not wilting away, being prosperous.

You give me a warning: the wicked will not stand in the judgment or the sinners where the righteous gather.

What a great God You are!  You know the way of the righteous but the way of those who do not believe in You will perish.

In the year 2014, help me to be a blessed man/woman in Your eyes as I look to You.
