The prayer of the week is based on excerpts from Psalm 118:

  I come to give thanks to You Lord God Almighty!  Why?  Because You are good, Your love endures forever and ever and ever.

  I have no need to fear because You are for me…and what can man do to me?  No one can take me from Your hands because my faith is in Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

  Your word says: “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.” (Ps 118:8)

What joy it is to be able to say “Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD.” (Ps 118:26)

  You are my God, thank You!  You are my God, I will extol You!  You are good and Your lovingkindness is forever and ever and ever.
