In a permissive culture it is hard to believe, let alone ‘hear’ what Jesus said to someone in a city or village who asked the following question.  (Luke 13:22)

(NIV) Luke 13:23-24 “…‘Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?’
He said to them, 24 ‘Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.’”

(NASB) Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

1- Jesus said that the way to be saved was only through a narrow door.

2- Jesus declared Himself to be that gate, that door, through which anyone must enter into God’s holy presence:
(NASB) John 10:7-10 “…‘Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 ‘All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
9 ‘I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
10 ‘The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.’”

3- Beware of the wide gate and the broad way being spoken of today.  Many will be seduced into thinking it is an easy ride into God’s presence.  Always, always, compare what you hear and read with God’s words…they are true and they are truth upon which you can base your faith and yes, your very life.

4- Thieves seek to steal anyone away from belief in God…they come only to steal and to kill and destroy…you!

5- Jesus came to give you life so you can have an abundant, overflowing life of faith in the living God!

Hallelujah!  Praise to the living God of the Bible for He has provided the door…the only door…into His presence!

To paraphrase John 3:16-21: God loved you (insert your name) so much that He gave His only begotten Son.  Whoever places their faith in Him has eternal life!  God sent His Son to save the people in the world. But if anyone does not believe in Jesus, he is judged because of unbelief in the name of God’s only begotten Son.

God judges those who do not come into belief in the Light of the World (Jesus Christ).  God knows that people love the darkness rather than the Light because their actions are evil.  All who are evil hate the Light and fear to come to that Light to be exposed.

Anyone who practices the truths of God comes willingly, gladly to that Light for his actions to be seen by God.

Have you entered through that “Door”?
