The question of the day: What kind of fruit is being produced in your life?

  Jesus gave a story, a parable in a crowd of thousands (Luke 12:1).
(NASB) Luke 13:6-9 “And He began telling this parable: ‘A man had a fig tree which had been planted in his vineyard; and he came looking for fruit on it and did not find any.
7 ‘And he said to the vineyard-keeper, ‘Behold, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree without finding any.  Cut it down!  Why does it even use up the ground?’
8 ‘And he answered and said to him, ‘Let it alone, sir, for this year too, until I dig around it and put in fertilizer;
9 and if it bears fruit next year, fine; but if not, cut it down.’”

The vineyard-keeper did everything possible for that fig tree to bear fruit.  He gave it time to produce fruit; he gave attention to the details that would produce fruit if the tree was healthy and maturing as it should.  He also knew the reality…if it did not bear fruit, it would be judged for not bearing fruit and he would cut it down.

The Lord God has that kind of patience with you and me – He looks for fruit in our lives, the right kind of fruit.  He waits for us to yield our lives to Him.
1- God is patient for us to grow
2- God’s word waters our thoughts, motives and actions
3- God uses the right mix of fertilizer to produce the fruit which pleases Him
4- God will judge our choices – and our choices will bear fruit.

Question?: will the Judge of all the earth find any spiritual fruit in your life and mine?
There is a time coming when all will be judged – not by other people but by the Judge of all the earth.
