What Does God’s Word Say?
Jesus used illustrations of natural phenomena to speak an eternal truth.
(NASB) Luke 12:54-56 “And He was also saying to the crowds, ‘When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and so it turns out.
55 ‘And when you see a south wind blowing, you say, ‘It will be a hot day,’ and it turns out that way.
56 ‘You hypocrites! You know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not analyze this present time?”
Aren’t we to pay attention to the events going on in our nation and in the world and using God’s word to make a right assessment?
For the followers of Christ, we are not given a warm and fuzzy blanket – we are given the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). We are to wear that armor every day for the battle of people’s eternal lives.

Don’t you find that what the news media reports and the world events which are happening are often in opposition to what God’s word says?
Evil twists and turns the truths of God.
Evil rejects God and His word.
It is easier to go along with the majority, then you will not be harassed, condemned, demeaned, brutalized, abused or imprisoned…

(NASB) Isaiah 5:20-21 “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
And clever in their own sight!”

Jesus said:
