Jesus taught His disciples while a crowd of thousands were milling about. (Luke 12:1)
(NASB) Luke 12:51-53 “Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth?  I tell you, no, but rather division;
52 for from now on five members in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three.
53 ‘They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.’”

Did you notice?  The division within a family is on both parties, not just the one.

Followers of Christ will not be in agreement with unbelievers.
Those without Christ will not be in agreement with the truths of God and division will be a fact.

Followers of Christ have God’s words of truth…and we are to live by those truths.  God’s word about belief is not in any gray areas.  It is either belief in what God says or not.

It is impossible to “straddle the fence” of belief and unbelief.  No one can have it both ways.  Either God’s words are true…or they are lies.  Therefore, if they are lies, then God is a liar.

What does God say?
(NASB) Titus 1:1-2 “PAUL, A bond-servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,
2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago…”
[God tells truth…no lie ever comes from Him.]

(NASB) John 8:42-47 “Jesus said to them, ‘If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me.
43 ‘Why do you not understand what I am saying?  It is because you cannot hear My word.
44 ‘You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father.  He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him.  Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
45 ‘But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.
46 ‘Which one of you convicts Me of sin?  If I speak truth, why do you not believe Me?
47 ‘He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God.’”

[Satan (the devil) speaks only deceptions and is the father of lies…how vital it is to know God’s word.]

What do you believe: truths of God or the lies of the devil?

What you believe about God and His truths will be divisive.

There are no gray areas!
