Picture this: A person is seen knocking at a friend’s door – at midnight – no lights are on in the house.  Yet the person at the door continues to knock, knocking to wake the person inside to come to the door.
Finally, a hushed voice from inside, ‘Who is it and whadya’ want?’  The person knocking calls out, ‘You are my friend.  Lend me three loaves of bread – I have unexpected company.’
‘Go away!  The door is locked; my children are in bed and asleep.  I cannot come; if I get up I would wake my family.  Go away!’

Yet, that is not the end of the story…the friend keeps asking for food and because of the persistent boldness – the person inside the house gets up and gives the three loaves of bread.
(Luke 11:5-8 paraphrased)

Jesus used stories to make His point – to teach His Godly perspective.  And He used the above story to teach His disciples to pray.  Pray with bold persistence.

What was Jesus telling His followers?  Be bold in asking the Father for true needs – and don’t give up asking…continue to implore the Almighty God for your needs.  Your needs are important.

For what are you asking the living God of the Bible to supply?  Is it in line with His words?  If so…

Pray ~ with bold persistence!
