‘No problem’ is a catch phrase used in our world today.  Don’t cha love it?  No problem!

Jesus had no problem with His disciples requesting Him to teach them to pray as John the Baptist had taught his followers to pray.

Jesus had no jealousy or criticism of such a request from His followers.  John the Baptist had men following him before Jesus came on the scene.  At least two of Jesus’ disciples had been followers of John the Baptist.  One disciple is named Andrew.  The other disciple is not named and many believe that it was John, the John who wrote the Gospel of John.  (St. John)
(NASB) John 1:40 “Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John (the Baptist) had said and who had followed Jesus.”

Jesus was not jealous that His followers wanted to be taught as John the Baptist had taught his disciples.

What can so easily cause a person to stumble?  Jealousy!  Fear or being wary of being supplanted, having a sense of bitter rivalry.  How petty!  Yet, I am guilty of such an attitude from time to time.
And my prayer?  ‘Forgive me, Lord!’

Jealousy is a sin and is just as serious a sin as sexual immorality, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, discord, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, etc.  (Galatians 5:19-21)

Jesus had ‘no problem’ with His disciples desiring to be taught as John the Baptist had taught his disciples to pray.

Where do you have the problem of jealousy?
