Jesus was praying “in a certain place” and His twelve disciples respectfully kept quiet and waited for Him to finish.

Where do you go to pray?
Some people may wait until they are in a church setting, others wherever they are.  According to (NASB) Luke 11:1, “Jesus was praying in a certain place.”

Prayer is talking to the living God.  It is that simple, and I believe, anywhere at anytime is appropriate.  Arrow (bullet) prayers sent up quickly as an emergency flare are always appropriate.

What about times you purposely set apart to be consciously in the presence of God?  Times you give your full attention to Him…by turning off the TV, computer, or other devices which capture your attention so easily.

Prayer should be a time of communication between God and you!
Prayer is: “Listening” to Him by reading His true word to receive His message, as well as, “Speaking” to Him.

What are some of the results of prayer:  Peace with God, peace within, peace as you step into your day.  And it is easier to remember God throughout your day because you have started with Him!

If you do not have peace within…stay in that “certain place” and find out why you don’t sense that peace.  Perhaps sin needs to be confessed, repented of and turned from.  Perhaps there is someone for whom you need to pray.  Perhaps you need to yield to God’s way for you.  Whatever is keeping you from peace, find out why from God’s perspective.

When you pray, do you expect the living God to hear you?
When you pray, do you expect the living God to answer you?
