Jesus had sent out seventy men in pairs to heal those who were sick, to tell people that “The kingdom  of God is near.”  Those men came back with incredible stories and excitement at what they had seen and done.
(NASB) Luke 10:17 “The seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.’”

As a follower of Christ ~ of what are you in awe?

The following is a partial list that you might consider:
1- His love – His love which was expressed when He died on the cross ~ on purpose! (John 3:16)

2- His humility – He is God, yet He came and took on the physical limitations of a man ~ on purpose!  (Philippians 2:5-11)

3- His power – to transform us from unforgiven sinners to being forgiven sinners ~ on purpose!  (Romans 3:23)

4- His authority – given to His followers to do what He calls us to do in His name ~ on purpose! (Luke 10:17)

The amazing love of Jesus (in the past, in the present and in the future) – on purpose!
The amazing humility of Jesus (shown through His actions as the Son of Man) – on purpose!
The amazing power of Jesus (which is present and on-going) – on purpose!
The amazing authority of Jesus (given to His followers) – on purpose!

How can this knowledge and understanding impact your life and mine?
Our thinking may take a dramatic turn when we consider that what God does – is on purpose!
Our confidence that what God calls us to do – is on purpose for His purpose!
Our trust is to put our full weight on Jesus to work in us, to work through us – on purpose!

What Jesus is doing in your circumstances is ~ on purpose!  Search the Scriptures for yourself and what you find out…put into action!
