(NASB) Luke 10:1 “NOW AFTER this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.”
(Some versions of the Bible say “seventy-two” men were sent out.)

Jesus appoints His followers and sends them ahead of everywhere He Himself is “going to come.”

When Jesus appoints His followers ~
When Jesus prepares His followers ~
When He gives you another with which to work ~
When He sends you out ~
Know that He Himself is going to come to those places where He sends you ~

Jesus has sent this devotional team into eighty-five countries this past year (via the internet).  Cities and places where Jesus is going to come ~ He is making Himself available to all who will receive Him.

Even though you and I may be “sent ahead”, we are to continue to grow in our understanding of God and His word.  Just think!  We will continue to have greater understanding when we go to heaven and be in the presence of the living God!

Your life and mine is to be built on the solid, eternal foundation of God and His true words found in the Holy Bible.

We have been appointed to share God’s words of truth with others, His words which are inerrant and infallible.

We can only speak of what we understand; therefore, we cannot “take” anyone further in understanding of faith in Christ than we ourselves have gone.

Being “sent ahead” does not mean that anyone has “arrived” – it does mean that Jesus is coming!

Where are you being “sent ahead” to prepare for Jesus Himself to come into others lives?
