Satisfaction in Receiving from the Hand of Jesus
The Lord Jesus Christ’s blessing is filling, full, flowing over and fulfilling God’s will and purpose.
What Jesus gives out from His hands will give satisfaction to all who receive it.
What satisfies you? Is it what others find satisfactory and are you contented with that?
Searching and seeking for “whatever” is like trying to grab handfuls of smoke.
Are you unsatisfied with your life?
Perhaps you are looking for satisfaction and not finding it in the bar, or in the things you buy, or the things you read, or the people you “hang with”.
Perhaps you are unsatisfied because you are hungry for God and His words.
Jesus had a crowd to feed; He had His disciples put that milling crowd into seated groups of about fifty each. Then He took what was given Him, looked up to heaven, and then blessed what was in His hands (five loaves and two fish). Then He broke them and gave them to the disciples to distribute to the crowd. (Luke 9:14-16)
Scripture tells us that all the people ate and were satisfied. The twelve disciples then gathered up the left-over’s into baskets…twelve baskets full of left over’s! And all the people were satisfied! (Luke 9:17)
Satisfaction in Receiving from the Hand of Jesus
You too, can be satisfied, filled from the hand of Jesus…but! But you have to receive what He is so willing to give you. When was the last time you opened a Bible to read for yourself? Perhaps start with Luke 9…that is where this devotional has been recently and will continue to be for a while. Another place to read may be Psalm 1.
Prayerfully read God’s word.
And as you read ask the living Lord of the Bible to give you insight and understanding of His words.
You too will have Satisfaction in Receiving from the Hand of Jesus.
