The Lord Jesus spoke in parables, giving word pictures to explain God’s eternal truths.
In the parable of the Sower, Jesus said that the seed sown was the word of God.

(NASB) Luke 8:5 “…some fell beside the road, and it was trampled under foot and the birds of the air ate it up.”

Jesus went on to explain the meaning:
(NASB) Luke 8:12 “Those beside the road are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word (seed) from their heart, so that they will not believe and be saved.”

The Lord God uses His word as seed and plants it in the hearts of all who would receive and believe His words of truth. Satan enters the picture and influences people in their response to God.
How people respond to God is all important. Satan is at war with God and wants to be worshiped in place of God. Satan is then the enemy which works to entice, coerce, strong-arm people to reject God and His words.

Has there been a time in your life when Satan snatched up the seed thrown in your path and trampled the word of God so it wouldn’t grow in your heart?
Seeking God and His word is to find God Himself…He is faithful to keep His promises, all of them.

Godly wisdom is for those who seek Him:
(NASB) Proverbs 8:17 “I love those who love me;
And those who diligently seek me will find me.”

God’s promises for those who seek Him:
(NASB) Matthew 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

(NASB) Luke 11:10 “For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.”

(NASB) Colossians 3:1 “THEREFORE IF you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.”

Putting God’s word into action is to do what He says…
