(NASB) Luke 8:1-3 “SOON AFTERWARDS, He began going around from one city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him,
2 and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
3 and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who were contributing to their support out of their private means.”

The twelve disciples were Simon Peter, Andrew, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew (Nathanael), Matthew, and Thomas, James (son of Alphaeus), Simon the Zealot, Judas (son of James) and Judas Iscariot (who betrayed Jesus).
The women and men who followed Jesus had been touched in some way by Him, His words and His works…lives had been impacted by this Son of Man and Son of God.

Jesus valued these people as individuals; He did not see them as a group to benefit Him.
Jesus values you today. You are an individual for whom Jesus died…He loved you that much before you were conceived!

For what reason do you consider yourself a Christian? Have you intentionally received Him as your Savior?

Followers of Jesus are Valued and Valuable to Him

(NASB) Psalm 139:13-16 “For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth,
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.”
