John the Baptist was imprisoned for exposing King Herod’s taking the wife of his brother and marrying her and other wicked things the king had done.  John heard from his followers about Jesus and what He had been doing.  (Luke 7:18)

What had Jesus been doing?  Among many things Jesus had healed a centurion’s servant without meeting the patient or the centurion.  The centurion’s faith was in the authority and power of Jesus to heal.  Jesus had resurrected a dead son and given him back to his widowed mother…Jesus met a need in the grief-stricken mother’s life.  (These are just two examples of what Jesus had been doing and there are many more.)

What is Jesus doing in your life today?

Jesus is the Healer:
Is He healing you or someone you love?  If so, is your faith in the living Jesus growing by leaps and bounds?  Have you thanked Him?

Perhaps your healing is emotional; or most importantly, spiritual healing; perhaps it is healing of relationships with others, or perhaps healing has to do with your mental health or physical health.  In various countries there is much evidence of God’s physical healing.  In countries where the need is great there is spiritual health that is sadly lacking in the United States and other ‘sophisticated’ countries.

What need has Jesus met in your life?  Think about that!  Everyone has real needs, what is yours?  How is Jesus meeting that need?

Jesus is the Giver of Life…He is the Resurrection and the Life…John 11:25-26.  Do you believe that He is the Giver of Life?  Has He replaced the deadness in you by giving you life?  If so, are you thanking Him through your words, actions and through your worship of Him?

Jesus: Healer, Giver of Life

Is He your Healer?
Have you responded to His invitation to be given His resurrected life?
Who do you know who needs Jesus to heal them and to give them His life?
How shall you now pray?
