Many people do not know that they are dead, dead to God before they ask Jesus to be their Savior.
Jesus speaks His words of life into individual hearts who respond to His voice of invitation.  Have you responded to Him?
Jesus exhibited His power and His authority when He said to a dead man “Young man, I say to you, arise!”

Jesus gave a dead son back to a grieving mother in the city of Nain.  He had compassion on this widow who was in the funeral procession to bury her only son.  How did Jesus do that?  Jesus did it with His power as the Son of God, with His compassionate action.

(NASB) Luke 7:13-15 “When the Lord saw her (the widow), He felt compassion for her, and said to her, ‘Do not weep.’
14 And He came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt.  And He said, ‘Young man, I say to you, arise!’
15 The dead man sat up and began to speak.  And Jesus gave him back to his mother.”

Jesus speaks His words of life into hearts which are dead to God…have you responded to Him by listening and responding to His words to you as the dead son did?

Are you living as if you are dead to God this day?  If so, LISTEN…He is calling you to arise and receive His life-giving words.

(NASB) Romans 10:8-13 “…‘THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart’ – that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, ‘WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.’
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;
13 for ‘WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.’”
