To build a house which will withstand the forces of wind and water…the foundation needs to be dug deep and built on rock.  The foundation is hidden, unseen, but so important.

  Jesus said that those who dig deep and lay a foundation built on rock will not be shaken.

When storms come into your life, whether illness, the challenge of giving daily care, emergencies, a surgery “gone wrong”, unexpected road blocks, disappointments…your foundation will be exposed.
What storm is pounding at you today?  The winds and the waters which batter and seem to increase in intensity…how are you weathering such a storm?

Jesus said:
(NASB) Luke 6:47 “Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like:”
Then Jesus described the house whose foundation was built on a rock, that house, that life will not be shaken.

However, Jesus went on to warn:
(NASB) Luke 6:49 “But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.”

It is not a matter of “If” a storm will come, for everyone will experience storms.
It is a matter of “When” the storms come into everyone’s life.
