What treasure fills your heart?  Your words and actions will reveal or expose whether your treasure-filled heart is “good” or “evil”.  Not my words, those are what Jesus said.

(NASB) Luke 6:45 “The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.”

What treasure fills your heart?
I find that I have a mixture of good and evil…and even if the good outweighs the evil stored in my heart; that is not good enough for God!

Evil Treasure:
‘O Lord, clean me up from that which is evil treasure in my heart, my life:
Bitter revenge?  Lord, forgive!
Snide innuendos?  Lord, forgive!
Remorse without repentance?  Lord, forgive!
Unforgiving attitude?  Lord, forgive!
Rudeness?  Lord, forgive!
Selfishness?  Lord, forgive!’
What evil treasure do you need to ask for God’s forgiveness?

Good treasure:
‘O Lord, show me the good treasure that needs to replace the evil that is treasured in my heart!
How do I start?  I need to start with:
Repentance, asking Your forgiveness Lord, for the specific evil which comes to my mind…
To replace that evil with Your good treasure from Your word.  Psalms and Proverbs, the Old Testament and the New…that is where I need to mine Your riches my Lord and my God.’

What fills my heart?
(NIV) Proverbs 4:18-19 “The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn,
Shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
19But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness;
They do not know what makes them stumble.”

What fills your heart?
It will be revealed or exposed by your words and actions.
NIV Luke 6:45 “…For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”
