During the trials of Jesus and while He hung on the cross of execution (for you), He endured the mocking, the shame, the beatings and flogging He received (for you).  He did not revile those who were abusing Him verbally and physically.

Through all of these events of suffering, Jesus said not one word of threat to His enemies.

Think about this: during this time of pain, the physical pain, mental and emotional pain, He was preparing the way for His enemies to be able to enter heaven through faith in Him!
His actions were based on His own words, “Do good to those who hate you” (Luke 6:27)

How did Jesus do that?
(NASB) 1 Peter 2:23 “and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously”

Jesus kept His focus on God and what He had been called to do…“Do good to those who hate you”.

What trial(s) are you facing?  Some of the readers of this devotional may well be facing enemies who hate them.
Entrust yourself to God and …“Do good to those who hate you”.

How are you to “Do good”?
(KJV) Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

(Amplified) Proverbs 3:5-6 “Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.”

Trust in the LORD as you …“Do good to those who hate you”!
