Have you ever asked yourself, ‘Are my motives and thinking in line with God and His word?’

  On a Sabbath (and many others times), Jesus knew the thoughts of those who wanted to “catch” Him so they could accuse Him.  Sitting in the congregation of a synagogue was a man with a withered hand.  It seems that this man was just sitting there, worshiping God, listening to the teachings from the Law and the Prophets, and he had a withered hand.

Also in that congregation sat some scribes and Pharisees…they were there to “catch” Jesus so they could accuse Him, to discredit Him, to get rid of Him.

Jesus knew what they were thinking.  Jesus also knows what you and I are thinking…others may not, we may have them fooled, but we never, ever fool the living God.

Do your thoughts align with God’s thoughts?
(NASB) Isaiah 55:6-7 “Seek the LORD while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the LORD,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.”

These very words were there for the scribes and Pharisees to read, to heed, and to put into action.  Did they?  And what about you?  Will you

The living God of the Bible knows your thoughts!  Are they righteous or are they perverse?

(NIV) Proverbs 10:32 “The lips of the righteous know what is fitting, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.”

So!  Are your words righteous and in line with God’s thoughts?

Or!  Are your words perverse, stirring up trouble and creating dissentions?

God Knows!
