During the ministry of Jesus the following incident occurred:
  Jesus had seen the faith of a paralyzed man’s friends and then He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven you.”  (See Luke 5:20)

(NASB) Luke 5:21 “The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, ‘Who is this man who speaks blasphemies?  Who can forgive sins, but God alone?’”

Do you limit God?
Do you know Him from what others say about Him through books, sermons, etc?
Do you have preconceived ideas of Who God is and are unwilling to learn more of His true character?
Are you learning to know God by reading and studying His word, the Holy Bible?
Can the Psalmist’s words be your prayer today?

(NASB) Psalm 119:97 “O how I love Your law!
It is my meditation all the day.”
(NASB) Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.”
(NASB) Psalm 119:169 “Let my cry come before You, O LORD;
Give me understanding according to Your word.”
In the name of Jesus, Immanuel.  Amen.

  How do you know Jesus?  Jesus came to live among His people…John 1:14.

Jesus (Son of God) became the Son of Man when He was born of a virgin…Matthew 1:18-23.

  Immanuel, God with us…this is Jesus!

How do you know Jesus?
Christmas is only days away…what is claiming your attention?  Is it Jesus (Immanuel) who has the authority and power to forgive sins?
