(NASB) Luke 4:40-41 “While the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and laying His hands on each one of them, He was healing them.
41 Demons also were coming out of many, shouting, ‘You are the Son of God!’  But rebuking them, He would not allow them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.”

Jesus expended Himself at the end of the day in compassion for those who needed healing and deliverance.  He did not ask the crowds if they believed in Him…for He had not yet revealed Himself as Messiah (Christ).  He healed them without any discrimination or restrictions.  He healed all, each and every one who came to Him for healing that evening.

Jesus does not limit anyone coming to Him.  Each and everyone who turns to Him and asks for His forgiveness…is given forgiveness.

Perhaps you might ask, what is the ‘catch’?

Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God?  Do you believe that He died on the cross for you because of your sins?  Do you ask Him to be your Master (your Lord)?  Do you believe that He was raised to life by the power of God?

If your answer is “yes” to those questions then you are saved by His work on the cross and the resurrection from the grave.  It is all the work of Christ Jesus…your work is to receive the Good News for yourself!

(NIV) Romans 10:8-11 “…The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,’ that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.  11As the Scripture says, ‘Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.’”
