Today, many things are happening which show the world is out of control.  Natural disasters are happening around the globe.  Man-made madness is on the rise.  Where do you turn for comfort, hope and help?

  In whom do you put your trust?  Is it in people you love, is it in your government and its leaders?

When people fail you (and they will, just as you and I fail those whom we love), when governments do not or cannot live up to their ideals and promises…where do you go for help, hope and comfort?

There is only one sure hope of which I know or have experienced.  The Living God of the Bible is our sure hope.  He is worthy of trust and where we can find solace and comfort in times of frustration, grief and hurt.

Jesus has the lineage of proof that He is the Son of God (See Luke 3:23-38).
This same Jesus said:
(NASB) John 10:27-29 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
29 ‘My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”

What do Jesus’ words say to you?
Do you hear His voice calling you, perhaps an inward confirmation?  In verse 27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me”

What promise does He give you when you receive Him into your life and heart?  In verse 28 “and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.”

What does Jesus say about the All-powerful hand of His Father?  In verse 29 “‘My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”
