The lineage of Christ Jesus (through His mother, the virgin Mary) is one of men who believed in God and His word.
Kings, sons of kings, the Patriarchs and so back to Adam and to God Himself…this is Christ Jesus’ lineage, His genealogy.

Christ Jesus came from the royal line of Judah.  His heritage gives Him the right to sit on the throne of Israel.  Today, kings, queens and potentates of some countries can trace their ancestry with pride and with the right to sit on the throne of their nation.

Throughout the ages, believers in God have had but One King to follow and to obey.  And Jesus is that King.

We, as followers of Christ, are to pray for the leaders of our nations (See 2 Chronicles 7:14).
We are to obey the laws that govern our nation.  (See Romans 13:1-5)

Caveats are included by many which point to submission to God above any laws or leaders which would demand worship of anyone or anything which is not God.  For God alone is to be worshiped, praised and adored. (See Exodus 20:3, 4-6)

Jesus is “…crowned with glory and honor because of His having suffered death…” (Amplified Hebrews 2:9).  He is seated on the heavenly throne right now and He will return as King over all kings and LORD over all lords of the earth.  He has the proven lineage and He has won the battle over Satan at the cross.  When He defeated Satan it was proven by His resurrection.  (See Revelation 19:11-16)
