Jesus was 12 years old at the time He stayed behind in Jerusalem after the Passover Feast.  His parents had anxiously looked for Him for three days.  When they found Him, Mary asked Him “Son, why have You treated us this way?…”  (See Luke 2:48)

  Jesus answered, “Why is it you were looking for Me?  Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?”  (See Luke 2:49)

Jesus was not always understood by His parents.  Scripture says so:
(NASB) Luke 2:50 “But they did not understand the statement which He had made to them.”

Jesus understands all about living in a family unit.  He did for thirty years before He began His ministry in Israel.
He never lost sight of the fact of Who His Father was or Who He was in relation to His Father…He was the only begotten Son of God.  (See John 3:16)

Jesus understands the innuendos, the intricacies and the idiosyncrasies of a family.
He understands your needs, your joys, your hurts and that you are not always understood by your family.

Jesus knows how circumstances in your family can be difficult or comforting.
Jesus has been there and done that.
Whatever your family background is, Jesus understands.

God promises to give wisdom to those who seek Him.  The writer of Proverbs states:
(NASB) Proverbs 2:1-6 “MY SON, if you will receive my words,
And treasure my commandments within you,
2 Make your ear attentive to wisdom,
Incline your heart to understanding;
3 For if you cry for discernment,
Lift your voice for understanding;
4 If you seek her as silver
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
5 Then you will discern the fear of the LORD
And discover the knowledge of God.
6 For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

Seek the LORD’S wisdom for your circumstances within your family.
