(NASB) Luke 2:41-44 “Now His (Jesus) parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover.
42 And when He became twelve, they went up there according to the custom of the Feast;
43 and as they were returning, after spending the full number of days, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem.
But His parents were unaware of it,
44 but supposed Him to be in the caravan, and went a day’s journey; and they began looking for Him among their relatives and acquaintances.”

Jesus knew where He was – He was not “lost”.  His parents were in another place altogether.  Jesus was L…O…S…T…!  He was their responsibility, the Son of God, and He was L…O…S…T…!

What have you lost and have looked for intently, intensely and at times with frantic activity, for ‘the something’ you had l…o…s…t…?
Did you pray to find ‘the something’?  Did you go over and over and over in your mind where you had last seen or used ‘the something’?

Mary and Joseph had L…O…S…T…! Jesus.  God had been given them Jesus to raise, His Son.  And He was L…O…S…T…!

Are you L…O…S…T…!?  Are you L…O…S…T… from the presence of God due to not believing in Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
What rejoicing there is in heaven when one sinner repents!  Have you turned to God by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Redeemer; for He wants to be redeeming you from your sins.

Jesus told some parables about searching for the one who was lost.  When one sinner repents – there is great rejoicing in heaven!  (See Luke 15:4-7; 8-10)

Jesus knows where He is…He is not lost.
Do you know where you are in relation to Jesus?
Are you L…O…S…T…?
