The angel Gabriel had told Zacharias that his son would be filled with the Holy Spirit:

Promise:
(NASB) Luke 1:15 “For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while yet in his mother’s womb.”
Promise fulfilled:
(NASB) Luke 1:41 “When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.”  (The baby was John the Baptist)

Jesus promised His followers that the Holy Spirit would be given to them:
Promise:
(NASB) Luke 24:49 “And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
(NASB) Acts 1:5 “for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
(NASB) Acts 1:8 “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
Promise fulfilled:
(NASB) Acts 2:1-4 “WHEN THE day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.
2 And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.”

Jesus promised His future followers the Holy Spirit:
Promise:
(NASB) Acts 2:38-39 “Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 ‘For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”
Promise fulfilled:
(NASB) Romans 8:9-11 “However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.  But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
11 But the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

Have you God’s promised Holy Spirit?
