God sent an angel to tell Zacharias about John, who would become known as John the Baptizer.  The angel gave an important and miraculous message to an incredulous Zacharias.  Zacharias was told about his baby son who would be born to his wife Elizabeth.  Instructions were given in how to raise the child and what he would do for the people of Israel as the forerunner of Messiah.  [The long awaited Messiah!]

What does this knowledge about a baby, who had not yet been conceived in his mother’s womb (uterus), tell you about your own existence?

Before you were born, before you were conceived, God knew you!  Life is precious to the Lord.  Your life is precious to the Lord.

Every unborn baby is precious to the living God of the Bible, from before the moment of conception.  Amazing!

What does God say about this subject?
(NASB) Psalm 139:13-16 “For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.”

How precious are God’s thoughts of you!  His thoughts are vast and the sum of them is beyond what you can even begin to imagine for your best.  What of your future?  To follow the Lord Jesus Christ is to know that God knows your future and you can be comforted and live courageously because of His provisions.
