What is striking about the genealogy of Jesus Christ?  From Adam to Lamech (father of Noah), each man had one son who was named in this genealogical record of Christ Jesus.  These men “had other sons and daughters” – the earth was peopled through Adam’s children.  (See Genesis 5:3-31)
Jesus Christ’s lineage goes back to Adam and so to God Who created Adam.  (See Luke 3:23-35)
God is the Father of Jesus Christ; it was through the Holy Spirit of God that Mary conceived Jesus in the uterus or womb.  (See Luke 1:31)

When anyone becomes a follower of Christ, we are adopted into the family of God.  He becomes our Father through adoption by faith in Jesus.
Christ’s followers have:
*A privileged position in Christ.
*Are blessed by God through faith in His Beloved Son.

(NIV) Ephesians 1:3-6 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.  4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.  In love 5he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will – 6to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.”

It is a  privilege to be in the genealogical line of Messiah.
The followers of Christ have a secure position which can never be taken away from them.
Jesus holds us in His hand and no one can snatch us away.  (See John 10:27-30)

What is your position from God’s viewpoint?
How do you respond to such a great Savior?
Is it with love and praise and thanksgiving?
