As 2011 is coming to an end and 2012 is ‘just around the corner’, how are you facing the future?  The followers of Christ have a hope for the future, and that hope is in the living Lord Jesus Christ.

How I believe does impact the way I think and behave.  How I enter each day is my choice.  How I enter into eternity is also my choice.

There are two choices:
to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the risen Son of God…or…reject Him.

Jesus talked to Nicodemus one night:
(NASB) John 3:5-7 “…‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 ‘That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 ‘Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ ”

All followers of Christ believe what Jesus said was true…and they are ‘born again’ by the power of God and His Holy Spirit through belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus.
The power of God is for all who will turn to Him for help, hope and in humility by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ.

You and I can live a defeated life, a defective life or a delight-filled life.  It is our choice.

Entering into a new year is an adventure in which I want to anticipate with eagerness…for the LORD my God is with me, in me and leading me into the future.  How about You?

 

(NASB) Psalm 51:12

“Restore to me the joy of Your salvation

And sustain me with a willing spirit.”

 

We can anticipate 2012 with an attitude of joy for God is available and willing to sustain us, upholding us through our faith in Jesus Christ.
