What happened when Eve and Adam faced the LORD God after they had sinned?  The LORD God judged their sin, as an individual…each was responsible for sin before God, and so we also are responsible before God.

God judged sin then and He will judge our sins against Him now.  If we have acknowledged our need of Jesus to save us from our sins and ask God’s forgiveness, we are forgiven.  If we do not say we need a Savior (the Lord Jesus Christ) then we will die in our sins and we will face God’s judgment for our sins.

Either the Lord Jesus’ crucifixion has paid for your sins or you will be responsible for your sins.

God judged the sin of the serpent first (who instigated the temptation to sin), then He judged Eve who was deceived by the tempter, then Adam was judged for his part in the sin.  (See Genesis 3:14-19)

The living God does judge your sins and mine.  (For believers, Christ Jesus has been judged in place of us – He is our Savior.)

There are always consequences when we sin.  (Others are always impacted by our sins.)

Pain is involved when we sin.  (Whether the pain is in any combination of the following: physical, emotional, mental, social – and it is always spiritual.)

Eve and Adam pointed their finger at one another for the temptation to their sin…who do you blame for your own choices?  For what sin do you now need to take responsibility?

To what source can you trace your action of sin?  It can always, always be traced to your spiritual condition.

What can anyone do after they have sinned?
(NASB) 1 John 1:9-10 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.”

The following Scripture is a prayer, is it yours? (NASB) Psalm 51:1-4 “BE GRACIOUS to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness;
According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity
And cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions,
And my sin is ever before me.
4 Against You, You only, I have sinned
And done what is evil in Your sight.
So that You are justified when You speak
And blameless when You judge.
