Satan tempted Eve with what was important…to Satan.  Satan wanted to be worshiped, he wanted to be like God…and he still does.

The serpent said to Eve:
(NASB) Genesis 3:5 “For God knows that in the day you eat from it (the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Satan’s voice of subtle temptation always leads away from God.

Satan disguises himself and his intentions to draw you in.

Satan does exist and desires for people to not believe it.

By ‘buying in’ to Satan’s ‘suggestion’, Eve was taking the next step which would lead to rejecting God Himself.

In God’s wisdom, He gave Adam and Eve the freedom to choose.  Today, what do you choose in the freedom God has given you?  You and I have the same basic choices Adam and Eve did…to choose God and do what He says…or not.

What entices you away from God?
Do ‘friends’ encourage you in your faith in God or do they convince you to reject God and His words?
What ‘friends’ are you choosing to follow?
How are you influencing your friends or is their influence on you greater?
Has their thinking changed or has yours?

What is leading you away from God?
