Abel’s offerings pleased the LORD God, but Cain’s did not.
(NASB) Genesis 4:4-5 “Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions.  And the LORD had regard for Abel and for his offering;
5 but for Cain and for his offering He had no regard.  So Cain became very angry and his countenance fell.”

Cain became angry, and not only angry but “very angry”.

Cain’s anger took control.
What is in control when God shows you His displeasure with any of your actions, words, emotions, and/or choices?

Anger has become a part of many cultures…anger against the government, anger against people who have different political beliefs, anger at your station in life, anger at imagined insults or even at God.  Anger has become a dominant force in many lives…has it become a dominant force in your life?

How do you respond to God and His words which warn you of His displeasure?

Where in your life does anger control you?
