Count Your Blessings
(NASB) Genesis 1:27-28 “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28 God blessed them…”
The Creator God blessed the man and woman in telling them to multiply, to have children, to take responsibility over the creatures on the earth.
Thanksgiving should become a priority in our lives.
Thanking the LORD for children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, etc. for they are a blessing.
Thanking the LORD for the work He has given us to do…and the ability to do it.
How is the LORD blessing you this day?
+When have you watched the rising of the sun in the quietness of dawn and thought of the blessing that God has established this day?
+When you thank God for the food you eat before each meal…is it a rote prayer or do you really think about what He has provided for you?
+How are you blessed by God through your spouse?
+How are you blessed by God in your present circumstances?
When you count your blessings…name them one by one, for they will outnumber your greatest fears and anxieties.
(NASB) Psalm 103:1-5 “BLESS THE LORD, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
3 Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;
4 Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
5 Who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.”
Count your blessings…see what God has done.
