Three Persons, Yet One God
(NASB) Genesis 1:26-27 “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’
27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
“Then God said…” He used “Us” and “Our” to create people in His image, a man and a woman. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit – three Persons yet One God.
Jesus Christ has shown us His Father by His life, His words and works, and declared that He and the Father are one! (See John 10:30)
Jesus also said that He was in the Father and the Father was in Him. (See John 14:9-11) God the Holy Spirit is also intimately involved when anyone becomes a follower of Christ. (See John 14:16-18)
From creation to the present and into eternity…the LORD God is One God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus promised to all who believe in Him as their Savior:
(NASB) John 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
(NASB) John 14:23 “…If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him.”
Loved with God’s love!
Loved by God Himself; three Persons, yet One God!
