(NASB) Genesis 1:20-23 “Then God said, ‘Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.’
21 God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
22 God blessed them, saying, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.
23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.”

What pattern did God use in creating the universe, the earth and all the myriad life within the boundaries of the world?  Each successive phase of creation begins with “Then God said…” – the seas and the dry land were established; vegetation and trees; sun, moon and stars…all in place.  All preparations for life to be sustained were created.  “Then God said…” and all creatures in the waters and those which fly were created and made.

An important phase to note concerns the living creatures in the water, in the air, then animals and human beings.  All were to multiply “after their kind”.
How is your belief in God impacted by what you believe about the creation, the creation spoken into being by God?

If anyone believes that life ‘somehow’ evolved from ‘primordial soup’ and plants and animals then ‘just happened’ through successive stages – God is unimportant.  Many who believe in evolving life forms do not believe in the existence of God.  If God does not exist there is no hope, life has little or no meaning for existence.
(NASB) Ephesians 2:12remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.”

However, if you believe that God created the world (and the universe) your hope is in His power and in His ability to do what He says.  Then you have hope, not only in a ‘higher power’ but in God Himself.  For “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (See Genesis 1:1)

All the creatures in the water, every winged bird were blessed by God and told to “Be fruitful and multiply…”  All were to reproduce after their kind…whales and oysters, manta rays and rainbow trout; condors and cardinals, eagles and finches…all blessed to multiply after their kind.

What you believe about God does impact your life today.

(NASB) Hebrews 11:1, 3 “NOW FAITH is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.”
