Attribute/Name of God ~ “I Am”
Red Letter Day
Attribute/Name of God ~ “I Am”
(NASB) Exodus 3:14 “God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM’…”
God introduced Himself to Moses (and reveals Himself to you and me), giving us a further insight into Who He is, “I AM WHO I AM.”
“Am” is a form of the verb ‘be’. Think about that verb: ‘be’. It is. It is in the present. One of the dictionary definitions: To exist in actuality; have reality or life.
God is. God is in the present. God exists in real time. God had life, has life and will have life beyond today and into eternity.
This God of the Bible declared Himself to Moses as “I AM WHO I AM”.
He is the living God.
He is active today.
He was active in creation (See Genesis 1:1).
He was active in history (See Isaiah 44:6).
He was active in and through the life of the Lord Jesus Christ (See John 1:1-2).
He is available to you this day (See Romans 10:8-10).
He will be active in eternity still future to us.
The verb ‘be’ is active in the timeless present. And so is God: “I AM WHO I AM”.
God is present in this moment and all the moments to come…
Hallelujah (Praise the LORD)!
(NASB) Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.’ ”
How will you recognize and acknowledge
God as the “I AM WHO I AM”
in your life this day?
