(NASB) Genesis 1:12 “The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.”

The followers of Christ have also been created to produce:
For the followers of Christ: Are you living and reacting in the same way as you did before you received Christ as your Savior?  If you are, ask God’s forgiveness!  Ask Him to renew your thinking, motives, attitude, etc. in the new self – for you now have the Spirit of Christ within. (NASB 1 John 4:15 “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.”)

Followers of Christ: we are not to continue in our old life-style…it is futile (See Ephesians 4:17).
We did not learn Christ to continue to follow in the way the world lives…(see Ephesians 4:18-19).
We are to live as the truth is in Jesus – to put aside our old way of living and be renewed in the spirit of our minds (See Ephesians 4:20-23) and put on that “new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.” (See Ephesians 4:21-24)

We are to speak with truth, we are not to go to bed with anger still raging within, and we are not to give the devil any opportunities.  We are not to continue to steal (steal time from our employer by not working diligently, steal from our neighbor’s reputation by slander and gossip, steal another’s property, etc.).

We are not to let unwholesome words come out of our mouths – but words which build others up.

We are not to grieve the Holy Spirit of God, for it is by Him we are sealed until that awesome day of redemption (which is coming).
Are bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor (hubbub), slander and/or malice controlling your thinking and words?  Get rid of it!

Do be kind to others (there are no conditional ‘ifs’ in being kind).
Do be tender-hearted toward others (for they have hurts also).
We are to forgive each other, just as we have been forgiven by God in Christ.
We are to live by imitating God’s example – we are dearly beloved children.  We are to walk in love, in the same way Christ loves us.  He gave Himself up for you and me as an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. (See Ephesians 4:25-5:2)

God created vegetation and trees which bore fruit and seed to reproduce…surely there was a sweet aroma as the blossoms perfumed the air.

What of your life?

Do you leave a perfumed aroma as you walk through your day?
