Assessing Your Day
God assessed each day in which He had created. On the third day He assessed the waters which He gathered into one place and called them seas. He assessed the dry land which appeared and He called it earth.
“Then God said,…”
(NASB) Genesis 1:11 “…‘Let the earth sprout vegetation; plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them’; and it was so.”
What God the Creator said was then followed by what He saw!
(NASB) Genesis 1:12 “The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.”
God assessed that third day (See Genesis 1:13) and found what He had created was good…His work was, and is, always one of excellence.
At the end of a day – how do you assess your work?
Using honest evaluation: How did you interact with others throughout your day (no matter how they responded to you or treated you)?
Did you cause a problem or were you a part of the solution?
Could you say that the work you had done was one of excellence? That you had given your best effort in your home, for your employer, and those with whom you interacted?
How will you assess this day?
