Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
It all began with God.

(NASB) Genesis 1:3-5 “Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night.   And there was evening and there was morning, one day.”

It was God Who named the light ‘day’ and the darkness ‘night’.  It was God Who established evening and morning as ‘one day’ and it was God Who set boundaries.

There are some mysteries which man has not yet discerned.
God questioned Job about his knowledge and understanding of creation, some of which were:
(NASB) Job 38:19, 24 “Where is the way to the dwelling of light?
And darkness, where is its place?”
24 Where is the way that the light is divided…”

What was Job’s response to the Creator God?
(NASB) Job 42:2-6 “I know that You can do all things,
And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted,
3 ‘Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’
‘Therefore I have declared that which I did not understand,
Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.’
4 Hear now, and I will speak;
I will ask You, and You instruct me.’
5 ‘I have heard of You by hearing of the ear;
But now my eye sees You;
6 Therefore I retract,
And I repent in dust and ashes.”

  Think about this:
It was God Who created the heavens and the earth.
It was God Who separated the light from the darkness.
It was God Who established the evening and the morning…one day.

It is this God Who wants you and me to be made a new creation:
(NIV) 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 “…if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ…”

It was God, it is God…Do you know Him?
