(NASB) Jonah 1:1 “THE WORD of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai saying…”
God called a man named Jonah to be a prophet to his nation’s enemy.  God’s love is amazing, isn’t it?

How did the living God reveal His love for the wicked people who lived in Nineveh?  God is not a God Who condones bad behavior nor overlooks it.

God deals with sin through His Son’s taking the punishment sin requires.

When Jesus Christ is ignored or refused – that is a sin against God and His provision for forgiveness.

(NASB) Jonah 1:2 “ ‘Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and cry against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.’ ”

Arise, followers of Christ, go to those God calls you to warn them, for their wickedness has come up before Him.

Arise, followers of Christ, and pray for your nation…

Followers of Christ, arise and go, keeping the LORD’S commandment:

“And Jesus came up and spoke…‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 ‘Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ ” (NASB) Matthew 28:18-20

Arise, followers of Christ, and go…
